Apple Online Store Now Online! iPhone Xs and Apple Watch Series 4 Pre-Orders Now Accepted
(UPDATE: Apple is now accepting orders! Orders will arrive September 22, AppleInsider noted.)
Excited to get the latest iPhone and Apple Watch versions? Apple's online store is currently offline in preparation for the influx of consumers pre-ordering Apple's new iPhone models and the new Apple Watch.
Customers longing to purchase new Apple devices should expect to see the tech giant's online store ready to take pre-orders at 3:01 a.m. Eastern Time on September 14, Friday, MacRumors reported. The pre-order times vary depending on the location: Chinese customers can start ordering at 3:01 p.m., customers in the U.K. can expect to order at 8:01 a.m., and so on.
According to a poll 9to5Mac conducted on readers, the iPhone Xs Max and Apple Watch Series 4 seem to generate the most interest among consumers and are likely the devices that will be pre-ordered the most. This is very timely indeed as Apple had just raised expectations and excitement levels after unveiling their newest iPhones and their latest smartwatch yesterday.
Apple's newest iPhone models -- the iPhone Xs, Xs Max, and XR -- all possess features that will appeal even to the most discriminating of smartphone users.
The iPhone Xs and Xs Max both Apple's biggest displays in a smartphone, measuring 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch respectively. Aside from Super Retina displays, Apple says both have the state-of-the-art features designed to bring the best smartphone experience yet.
Both are powered by their latest chip, the powerful A12 Bionic Chip, feature faster Face ID, and are capable of taking breathtaking shots using an advanced dual camera setup. On top of that, both feature long battery life, especially the iPhone Xs Max.
The iPhone XR is basically the iPhone Xs but designed to be more affordable. At $200 less, the iPhone XR brings the latest iPhone experience to the masses. It may have a different display and some other different details, but make no mistake; the iPhone XR is still a flagship that doesn't cost as much as flagships from other brands.
All three iPhone models will feature dual SIM capabilities, a first for Apple. The iPhones will make use of a nano-SIM and an eSIM for this feature.
Apple's latest smartwatch, the Apple Watch Series 4, is also something fans and health-conscious consumers will be spending money for once the online store is up. The Series 4 now has a wider display, improved speakers, fall detection, and is now a medical device certified by the US Federal Food and Drug Administration thanks to a built-in EKG.
