Ben Affleck and Shauna Sexton called it quits after almost two months of dating. The news broke after the former couple visited Big Sky, Montana, over the weekend.
There are rumors Affleck wanted to focus on his sobriety, so he reportedly ended his romance with Sexton. "It was casual and not serious," a source told Entertainment Tonight. "Ben's only priority right now is his sobriety and his family."
Affleck and Sexton seemed fine when they went to the Rocky Mountains a day after he finalized his divorce with ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. The Big Sky is the 46-year-old actor's go-to place because of its tranquility. He also owns a house in the private luxury ski resort.
"Montana is a special place for Ben," another insider told People. "It's where he can go to get away."
It was not the first time Affleck spent time in Montana. He casually stayed in the city with his family. He also loved to be there alone.
Affleck's friends said Montana is a "good and healthy" place for the "Justice League" star to stay. He usually visits the place to clear his mind and connect to nature because it holds "fewer distractions and very peaceful."
Affleck and Garner also used to spend time in Montana with their kids, Violet, 12, Seraphina, 9, and Samuel, 6. They even took a vacation in the area last Christmas.
But it was the first time Affleck brought Sexton in Montana. The Playboy model even took their trip on Instagram and shared a series of photos.
Sexton posted some scenic scenes from Montana. She even shared her photo with a big grin on her face as she successfully caught a fish from the river. For the first time, she even shared a photo of Affleck on her Instagram account while he was looking out of their car window, but it was now deleted.
Affleck and Sexton were first spotted together enjoying a cozy dinner a week before the "Batman v Superman" star went to rehab on August 22. Since then, they often went out and about together. She even stayed at his Malibu home.
Although they seemed enjoyed their time together, Affleck's friends were worried over his romance with Sexton. Another source told ET that his pals told him to "hold off" their relationship, but he didn't mind the advice. Their bond seemed to be a big challenge for everyone who wanted him to stay sober and finish his rehab.
