After Kris Wu dominated the US iTunes album and single sales charts, there are claims that the 27-year-old Chinese artist's fans manipulated his rank. There are rumors the former EXO member's supporters use Chinese bots to make his new album, "Antares," number one along with seven of his tracks.

According to ONTD, it is quite unusual that after Kris Wu took over the US iTunes album and single sales charts, none of his songs from "Antares" made it on other streaming charts. It is also despite claims that his new album sold 14 million units after its release.

On the contrary, Ariana Grande, who now topped the US iTunes chart with her new track "thank u, next," also conquered the number one spots on Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music, and YouTube. Hence, there are doubts that Kris Wu used Chinese bots to dominate the US iTunes chart. Allegedly, the "Never Gone" star's fans blocked the late Mac Miller's girlfriend to climb the chart's number one spot.

Ariana Grande's "thank u, next" has been on Spotify and Apple Music's top spot since its release over the weekend. However, three of Kris Wu's songs kept it from taking over the US iTunes chart. So, the 25-year-old American singer's angry fans asked iTunes to investigate this matter.

HITS Daily Double noted that the "tech-world" geeks believe that Kris Wu successfully dominated the US iTunes chart because of his Chinese fans, who allegedly used bots. These supporters, who couldn't buy his music as it was not yet available in their home country, reportedly "spoofed the system" with Virtual Private Networks (VPNs). Once "Antares" became available in China, the said chart would start to get normalized.

Kris Wu's fans, of course, defended their favorite artist. One fan said that the "November Rain" hitmaker has been on the US iTunes chart several times. Thus, he doesn't need to manipulate it. He is also the first male Chinese to achieve the recognition.

Another fan wrote on OneHallyu forum that Kris Wu also has a lot of activities in the U.S., so he is known in the foreign country. He got an invite to attend the Grammy Awards and Met Gala. He, too, is the first Chinese entertainer that performed at the Super Bowl.

Kris Wu even has collaborations with American stars like Travis Scott and has two Hollywood movies. He is also a friend of international celebrities like Cara Delevigne, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Kendall Jenner, Rihanna, Vin Diesel, Nina Dobrev, and LeBron James, among others.
