Scarlett Johansson, Colin Jost Are Reportedly Engaged
Just more than a year since they started dating, actress Scarlett Johansson and comedian Colin Kelly Jost are reportedly engaged.
This after the latest issue of Star Magazine (via Gossip Cop) claimed that Colin Kelly Jost reportedly proposed to the 34-year-old actress and singer over the Thanksgiving holiday. Since then, they are carefully planning their wedding.
According to an insider, Scarlett Johansson is reportedly sure about marrying Colin Kelly Jost, who treats her four-year-old daughter, Rose Dorothy Dauriac, like his own. The latter also sought of her daughter's approval regarding their wedding.
"Their friends want to see them go all-out," an unnamed insider told Star Magazine, adding that the wedding ceremony will allegedly take place sometime in 2019. "Everyone's just waiting for a save-the-date!"
However, there is no evidence that supports Star Magazine's claims. Scarlett Johansson's representative also debunked the report and clarified that the actress and the 36-year-old comedian are not engaged yet.
Both Colin Kelly Jost and Scarlett Johansson are also busy with their respective careers. The former is one of the head writers of the popular late night television show, "Saturday Night Live (SNL)." He also co-hosts the "Weekend Update."
Scarlett Johansson, on the other hand, will star next in Noah Baumbach's currently untitled film along with Adam Douglas Driver ("Girls" and "J. Edgar"). She will also reprise her iconic role as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow, a highly trained spy, in the highly-anticipated superhero film "Avengers 4" and her solo film, "Black Widow," directed by Cate Shortland.
Moreover, Scarlett Johansson will transform into a transgender man, Dante "Tex" Gill, in the upcoming film "Rub & Tug." The project, which is based on the true-life story of Jean Marie Gill, will benefit from the creativity of director Rupert Sanders (whose previous works include the 2012's "Snow White and the Huntsman" and 2017's "Ghost in the Shell.")
However, not everyone is happy with Scarlett Johansson's casting. Many netizens believed that the role - a transgender man who operated a massage parlor and prostitution business in Pittsburgh in the 1970s and '80s - should have gone to a transgender actor and not to a cisgender woman, as per Metro.

This is not the first time Scarlett Johansson has received major backlash for over casting news. In the past, her casting as Major Mira Killian / Motoko Kusanagi in the live-action adaptation of the popular Japanese manga, "Ghost in the Shell," has also brought accusations of whitewashing.
