BTS Eyes To Perform At The Super Bowl Halftime Show 'Someday'
BTS graced the cover of Time magazine's "Next Generation Leaders" issue, and one of the members revealed their greatest goal as a performer. Yoongi, a.k.a Suga, expressed their interest to headline Super Bowl one day, and fans quickly went berserk.
"I'm just throwing it out there, but maybe we could perform at the Super Bowl someday," Yoongi said about BTS' dream perform at the National Football League's (NFL) annual championship game. The event is known as a big part of American culture.
So if ever BTS will perform at the Super Bowl, attendees may have to start learning the Korean language, per Hollywood Life. The grand event is known as the most watched television occasion in the US.
Just as expected, the ARMY, BTS's fans, went crazy in anticipation and showed their full support to the group on Twitter. "Yoongi said it. Our next goals is [sic] super bowl," one fan said.
Another fan analyzed the event's schedule. Super Bowl would take place on February 3, 2019, so BTS still have a lot of time to prepare for the 2019 Grammys on February 10. It looks like the ARMY would do their best to make the Korean superstars make it to the event.
BTS has been dominating the world, and it seems like they are eyeing for the Super Bowl halftime show performance next. In fact, the Bangtan Boys managed to lead Billboard's poll last July about who should lead the "2018 Super Bowl Halftime Show?"
BTS went way ahead with 62.21 percent vote and defeated the likes of Rihanna, Kanye West, The Weeknd, and even Taylor Swift. Justin Bieber came at the second spot with 14.67 percent. From the looked of it, a lot of fans wanted to see the seven-member South Korean boy band headline the next Super Bowl.
Evidently, BTS was the only Asian on the list. So a lot of people in the music industry got impressed by their success to top the poll. It also proved that Big Hit Entertainment's artist has a cult following and loyal fans that are willing to do everything to support their favorite band. The ARMY surely worked hard to make the boys lead the survey, per ETCanada.
The Super Bowl halftime show is one of the most awaited parts of the annual NFL championship on television. Some of the stars who already took the stage were Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, and Coldplay, who brought Beyonce and Bruno Mars along in 2016 and showed a performance of a lifetime. Would BTS make it next year?
