'Outlander' Season 4: 2 Returning Characters Reveal; Murtagh Will Cause Jamie Trouble
Fans were surprised to see Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix) back in the Frasers' lives. But would it be for the better or things would turn out bad? In "Outlander" Season 4 Episode 6, titled "Blood of My Blood," viewers would see how Murtagh's return affects Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe), and other two returning characters.
Starz recently released "Outlander" Season 4 Episode 6's official synopsis and teaser. As the new episode promised to feature old faces, fans might also see Lord John Grey (David Berry) and Willie's (Finn Den Hertog) return.
"Jamie and Claire are surprised when Lord John Grey drops in on Fraser's Ridge with an unexpected traveling companion," "Outlander" Season 4 Episode 6's synopsis read, per Claire and Jaime. "When Grey contracts the measles, Claire must reconcile her personal feelings about the man with her duties as a doctor."
It will be a big question why Lord John and Willie are at Fraser's Ridge in "Outlander" Season 4 Episode 6. Also, fans need to see how Claire will react to their arrival and if David Berry's character still has feelings for Jamie's wife.
Talking about Murtagh's comeback, the man is probably at the cabin when Lord John arrives in "Outlander" Season 4 Episode 6. He will surely remember Ardsmuir Prison's former governor, but it has yet to be seen how he would feel about him now.
Also, Murtagh will know that Willie is Jamie's son in "Outlander" Season 4 Episode 6. Jamie will surely tell it to his godfather, and the latter may keep it a secret.
But in an interview with TVLine, Sam Heughan revealed that Jamie and Murtagh might fight against each other than support one another. Will this play out in "Outlander" Season 4 Episode 6?
"There's always been a great bond between Jamie and Murtagh," Sam Heughan said. It might mean everything for Jamie to have Murtagh back in his life in "Outlander" Season 4, but they couldn't deny that there is a long gap between them - especially with the Regulator issue.
Jamie is now a grown-up man. So having his godfather back may cause big trouble. They are also on the other ends of the Regulators. So with a great war coming in "Outlander" Season 4, there may be a big conflict happening between the two.
"I think you can probably guess what's going to happen," Sam Heughan hinted. On the other hand, executive producer Matthew B. Roberts revealed that Jamie and Murtagh's story would sometimes be "at cross-purposes." Fans would also see how Murtagh's relationship with Claire would play out. "Outlander" Season 4 Episode 6 will air on Sunday, December 9, on Starz.
