HMD Global's next launch event is scheduled to be held, in just hours from now, in Dubai. The company is rumored to launch three Nokia branded smartphones on this occasion as it had highlighted three handsets' edges (or, maybe three edges of a single handset only, the first assumption is taken in priority.) in the worldwide invites, which it sent out a month before. If the speculations are right, Nokia 8.1 will have its global debut in this event only.

According to GSMArena, Nokia 8.1 is said to be the universal version of Nokia X7 which was officially released in China, in October. But just before a day of its global release, Nokia 8.1 was teased with a new leaked video promo, which surfaced much about its expected features. If the promo clip is real then, Nokia 8.1 will boast a considerably bigger notch than that of the existing Nokia X7. However, the source believes that HMD Global will keep the inner features and specs of Nokia 8.1 same as that of X7.

According to the promo video, Nokia 8.1 will come with camera setup based on Zeiss optics with OIS technology. Whether, this will be an exclusive feature for front or, back snappers or, else both the cameras will have the same capability, is still a mystery. Besides this, the camera will reportedly support "AI" portrait mode and beautiful bokeh alongside other beautifying options. The screen will flaunt HDR1 support with high-end resolution. Gadget 360 has also quoted certain ideas about the handset's pricing options based on its memory variants.

As per the report, the entry-level model of Nokia 8.1 will come with 4GB RAM coupled with 64GB storage support will cost nearly INR 18,000. The secondary variant of the smartphone having 6GB RAM tagged with 64GB internal memory will be price tagged at INR 21,200. Finally, the highest end edition of Nokia 8.1, boasting 6GB RAM along with a hovering 128GB inbuilt storage space will cost around INR 26,500. All the variants will also reportedly hold storage expandability option with the help of MicroSD Card.

Nokia 8.1 will be run on Android 8.1, out of the box. It may also have the future prospect of getting a superlative update of Android 9 Pie. All the variants of the phone will probably be powered by Qualcomm's Octa-core Snapdragon 710 processor. Nokia 8.1 models are expected to be shipped globally by the end of this year or, by the earlier phase of 2019.
