Lebron James recently admitted that he got pissed off upon hearing about Kevin Durant releasing a quite offending statement about him.

In an interview after his 34th birthday with Rachel Nichols of ESPN, the king finally spoke about Kevin Durant's statement saying that playing around an environment with Lebron James is toxic, which for him means like almost having a fatal disease where people would not want to be around.

Lebron admitted it was not just him but even his family and his friends were all pissed off when the news came to them, according to Bleacher Report.

On the other hand, the king was cautious in his reactions and did not want to immediately react the night that they heard about the news. He said he did not want to comment because he did not see or hear the statement. He added that sound bites can be chopped and diced and that he first wanted to see the whole layout of the story.

Durant's comment was released in early December when Ric Bucher of Bleacher Report asked KD to give an opinion on why he thinks NBA stars don't want to play with the Lakers superstar. Durant replied saying that being around Lebron comes with so much hype.

He added that with beat writers fawning over him and having so many fanboys, they feel like, at certain points, it is no longer about basketball. KD, however, emphasized that it is not about Lebron's fault at all.

Later in the interview, Lebron James gave an assurance that he and Kevin Durant are now in good terms. He said that Durant gave him a phone call and apologized for what happened. The Lakers star elaborated how Durant expressed how he felt about how the story was twisted.

When asked how they ended up the phone conversation, James answered that he accepted the apology and said that they should move on from there. He added that he is too happy with his life now and that he cannot hold on to anything that might take away his happiness.

On the other hand, Lebron clarified that he will be recruiting free agents and that he has been recruiting since 2007. He assured that he will be at their doors, on their phones and as what Nichols stated, bringing a second superstar to Los Angeles is gonna be his job as well, as per The NBC Sports.
