'Annabelle 3' Trailer Likely To Be Released In March Or April
"Annabelle 3" has officially wrapped filming last December. But, now that it's a step closer to completion, will the fans eagerly waiting for the first teaser finally see a clip soon?
According to the official Twitter post of The Conjuring Universe, "Annabelle 3" finished principal photography in mid-December after more than two months of filming. Still, photographer Justin Lubin also posted on his Instagram that works on the set is done, so now it's time for the film to come together in the editing room.
As the directors and editors finally have clips to work, fans may expect the official first teaser of "Annabelle 3" to come out in March or April, as per The Conjuring Universe. This is enough time for its audience to get ready and be hyped about the horror flick since the film is expected to be released on July 3, 2019.
The third installment of the "Annabelle" franchise will feel more like a sequel to "The Conjuring." Producer James Wan said that this upcoming showcase would be different compared to the two previous "Annabelle" movies.
Speaking with Bloody Disgusting, Wan said that "Annabelle 3" will see the doll back at the home of the Warrens, Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine (Vera Farmiga). So, the fact that the couple is in this movie makes "Annabelle 3" feel like it's part of a chapter in "The Conjuring" storyline.
However, the lead character for "Annabelle 3" will be Judy, Ed and Lorraine's 12-year-old daughter. McKenna Grace will take over the role for Sterling Jerins, who originally played Judy in "The Conjuring" in 2013.
Fans of the franchise will expectedly see some overlaps between "Annabelle 3" and scenes from "The Conjuring." Producers announced last July that the plot for this upcoming film would take place right after the doll awakens in the Warren family's artifacts room.
"Annabelle 3" is the fourth spin-off in the universe James Wan made for "The Conjuring" Universe. Viewers first saw the stand-alone movie about the world's scariest doll in 2014. Though it did not earn the box office numbers, a follow-up was still made via "Annabelle: Creation," which delved on the doll's origin and was regarded as a worthy spin-off of the horror franchise.
Meanwhile, fans of the franchise may still expect Wilson and Farmiga's bigger participation when the third "Conjuring" film begins production. Marked for a 2020 release, Wan said that there would be more stories to be told of the Warrens so their scary world will continue as long as fans want them. Details to this installment, however, are still not available since the franchise is still gearing up for the release of "Annabelle 3."
