Caitriona Balfe added that, even if the above-mentioned citations were not part of the major awards, The Academy should understand that the people behind the camera also play important roles in the film-making process. The Outlander star said that she was "disgusted" by the decision and underscored that everyone should be given a chance to shine.
Meanwhile, Caitriona Balfe said, during STARZ Fiercely Female panel at the Television Critics Association press tour, that she never expected to get a total of four consecutive Golden Globe nominations for the Outlander series.
