Taylor Swift Reacted To A Snidely Comment For Kanye West
It was a simple reaction for a comment that is meaningful and demanding. A comment that demands sensitivity to other people's feelings, for a fellow celebrity or even for just a normal fan. And because the issue has not gone further, fans are still holding a grudge for what transpired between Kanye West and Taylor Swift, perhaps.
It was on 2016 when Kanye West called Taylor Swift felt the "responsibility" as a friend and colleague in the industry to ask her approval as she was mentioned on his single Famous, the lead single from his seventh studio album The Life of Pablo. The phone conversation was then released by Kim Kardashian, Kanye West's wife when Swift denied that the recording existed. The controversial lyric saying "Why? I made that bitch famous (Goddamn!) I made that bitch famous." Subsequent posts have followed from Kardashian that was treated lightly by Taylor Swift and was just made into humor, some were used by the Look What You Made Me Do hitmaker as promotional material for her 2017 album Reputation.
But recently, a social media user has re-posted his Twitter post criticizing Kanye West, apparently Taylor Swift was fast enough to agree with it by clicking the like button below the comment, thus giving a hint that the Bad Blood singer might have forgiven but has not yet forgotten the issue. The post accused the Gold Digger rapper of using "revenge porn" with his infamous music video wherein it consists of a bunch of celebrities that are naked and in bed with Kanye-including Taylor Swift. Regardless if Kanye West asked the permission of Taylor Swift or not, the said video has placed the abuse victims next to their abusers and celebrating sexual assaulters.
Although some netizens do agree with the negative message of the video, some fans dislike Taylor Swifts' style in humiliating/mentioning her exes through her songs. Despite this, there was no news that came up wherein one of the guys mentioned does not agree with the lyrics of any of her songs. Nevertheless, Taylor Swift is still human, with feelings and emotions, however, she chooses well her battles and approaches it with professionalism and style.
Following through her "30 Things I Learned Before Turning 30" personal essay, Taylor Swift revealed how she felt at her lowest-level at the time when she was bullied online and called her mean things. In addition to that, other people not concerned with the issue joined in to bash her. However, she pointed out how through it all, she was able to survive these challenges despite not receiving any apologies for it.
