Veep season 7 just got a lot more interesting with the announcement of its two guest stars. Rhea Seehorn and Michael McKean, best known for the show Better Call Saul, are going to appear in the HBO comedy series.

According to Entertainment WeeklySeehorn has been cast as Michelle in Veep season 7. The character is the chief-of-staff of the rival of former president Selina Meyer (played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus)  who is once again campaigning to be the White House leader.

Veep executive producer David Mandel described Seehorn's Michelle as devoted to her boss but also a bit jumpy and tense. If there were someone viewers might remind her of is that she's as closely similar to Selina's own staff, Amy (played by Anna Chlumsky).

McKean, on the other hand, will be in the first episode of Veep season 7. His will play the Iowa governor who shall not be named for now. Suffice to say, however, this character will be very important to Selina since she will need this politician's endorsement.

Veep season 7 will be the show's final year but Louis-Dreyfus told CBS News that she hasn't said her goodbyes to the series even if they have wrapped up filming. She admitted, however, that she got quite emotional during the last table read, especially after enduring a most challenging year.

Louis-Dreyfus filmed Veep season 7 while she was doing chemotherapy for breast cancer. The disease, however, didn't stop her from working and she fought the battle with the Big C successfully, too.

Just as Veep season 7 was almost done with filming, Louis-Dreyfus was also declared cancer-free by her doctors. "I think have kind of a pretty solid sense of priority, shall we say, moving forward now," the actress said.

Meanwhile, aside from Seehorn and McKean, Veep season 7 will also feature Keegan-Michael Key as a reverend from South Carolina. Andy Daly will also join as Keith Quinn, Meyer's new campaign manager.

But Selina will have an interesting competition in Jonah Ryan (played by Timothy Simons), who is also gunning for the presidency. Jonah was Selina's former staff, whom everyone disregarded.

The teaser to Veep season 7 previews Selina as she goes on her campaign. Surrounding her are her staff Ben Cafferty (played by Kevin Dunn), Kent Davidson (played by Gary Cole) and Gary Walsh (played by Tony Hale) and they are changing the words to her speech.

Meawhile, HBO confirmed that the show will premiere on Sunday, March 31. Veep season 7 will be the shortest with just seven episodes.
