New OnePlus 7 Concept Video Shows How Good The Smartphone Can Look Like
A new concept video featuring the upcoming OnePlus 7 has surfaced online, showing how the smartphone could look like. Read on for more details.
OnePlus' latest entry into the smartphone market has been the subject of rumors and leaks left and right. All of these leaks reveal just how good (or not) the Chinese smartphone maker's upcoming flagship could be.
Without a doubt, the leaks paint pictures of the OnePlus 7 in the minds of consumers. A YouTuber, however, took it one big leap forward and created a concept video showing just the phone could look like in real life.
The video, created by Concept Creator, is based on leaks about the OnePlus 7. If the leaks are true, then the concept video is trustworthy. And if the video is to be believed, consumers will have a good-looking, fast-performing smartphone to choose alongside top brands like Samsung and Apple. See the video below:
The video starts off by showing a purple colored smartphone with very thin to no bezels in front. There are buttons on the left and right side, and triple camera set up at the back.
The triple camera setup features a 48MP primary shooter, a 20MP camera, and a 5MP camera. Forbes notes that the first camera will likely feature a regular lens and the second camera will be a telephoto lens designed for greater focus.
Forbes speculates that the third camera could be used for wide-angled panoramic shots, or might feature monochrome lens for greater detail. The video, however, simply said it is a "depth sensor," which would somehow confirm Forbes' latter speculation.
The video also showed a detailed rendering of how the pop-up selfie camera might look like. It features one 16MP f/1.9 lens. Beneath this camera lies what appears to be a very small opening for a front-facing speaker.
Concept Creator notes that the OnePlus 7 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, backed by 8 or 12GB of RAM. It will have a huge 4,000 mAh battery that will be charged using OnePlus' proprietary 44W Dash charging feature.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau did confirm earlier that the upcoming flagship killer will be charged using wired chargers. Lau said their wired charging technology is superior to existing wireless charging tech used by smartphones.
The video also showed the same smartphone, this time in another colorway. Earlier reports said the OnePlus 7 will come in different color designs at launch, giving consumers more variety to choose from.
After showing a different colorway, the video showed how the bottom part would look like. There's a standard charging port and two openings for the speakers, but there's no headphone jack in sight.
Lastly, the video showed 6.41 inches of undisturbed screen estate. The display uses AMOLED and is curved at the edges.
If this video is accurate, fans will have a good-looking alternative to the more expensive brands.
