Unc0ver's most recent update may seem like the solution to all known bugs with the iOS 11.0-iOS 12.1.2.

On April 6, Unc0ver lead developer and hacker under the Twitter handler Pwn20wnd released a crucial update for all his jailbreak tools. He tweeted that Unc0ver v.3.0.0 beta 49 was released to fix all known stability issues on iOS.

The Twitter post came with quite a long list of change log containing the fixes on faulty sandbox patch and kernel memory leak, overnight reboots or system memory resets triggered by maintenance as well as a bug logging in. The Unc0ver v.3.0.0 beta 49 jailbreak update for iOS 11-12.1.2 also came with fixes on iOS 12's freezing under low-memory conditions or when loading tweaks or as security is being restarted.

A part of the stability issues that the Unc0ver jailbreak update for iOS 11-12.1.2 carries is the improvement in performance, assertion and the success rate of each swap and machswap2. It is also intended for live kernel memory offsets storage, code optimization, APT lists cache file for repositories update and failure to reboot as a result of bootstrap extraction.

Although the Unc0ver v.3.0.0 jailbreak update for iOS 11-12.1.2 has been released for public testing, amateur jailbreakers are encouraged to wait until the official public release as the beta 49 is more for the jailbreak power users as well as developers.

The Twitter post about the Unc0ver v.3.0.0 beta 49 immediately received a lot of response from followers, both compliments and raised concerns alike. A part of the raised concerns asked why the Unc0ver jailbreak had lots of beta releases and why the jailbreak tool is not leaving the beta state until now.

Pwn20wnd responded to the user's query saying that until a full-fledged A12 and A12X jailbreak comes out, Unc0ver jailbreak will stay on beta. The length of time depends on how long the Cydia Substrate will receive an update for arm64e from Saurik.

Since it is not yet a full-fledged A12 jailbreak, the Unc0ver v.3.0.0 beta 49 jailbreak supports the pre-A12 devices such as the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, 6 Plus and iPod touch 6G. iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 4, and iPad Air also comes among the list.

As of the moment, the latest Unc0ver jailbreak tool update that supports the iOS 11.0-11.4 is the v.2.2.6. On the other hand, version 3.0.0 is the only one capable of supporting the iOS 11.4-11.4.1.
