'Sex Education' Season 2: Who Will Otis End Up With, Ola Or Maeve?
Netflix has ordered for new episodes of Sex Education Season 2 back in February. As the show will return, it is a big question to whom Otis (Asa Butterfield) will end up with, to Ola (Patricia Allison) or Maeve (Emma Mackey)?
Season 1 ended on a dramatic note. Maeve was about to reveal his feelings for Otis. But in an unexpected twist of fate, the show paired Otis to Ola, instead. Would the latter end up together in Sex Education Season 2?
Fans were divided if they would ship for Ola or Maeve to be with Otis in Sex Education Season 2. Some of them wanted Ola and Otis together after they seemed amicable with each other in Season 1. After everything they had been through, their relationship seemed to be the previous season's highlight.
According to TV Season Spoilers, fans would get to know who Otis would choose in Sex Education Season 2. If he picks Ola, Maeve would feel more alone and isolated. In case he wants to be Maeve, it remains to be seen how things would play out in the next season.
Talking about the people's reception to the show, series creator Laurie Nunn revealed it was very exciting. "Seeing how people across the world have connected to characters that began as ideas in my head is incredible," he told Thrillist. "I'm hugely grateful to every person that has taken the time to watch the series, and I can't wait to continue this amazing journey.
In the continuation of Sex Education Season 2, Nunn added anything could happen, and there would be no restrictions. He continued to say the show's storyline "could go anywhere."
"I love the idea of getting different characters together - if not together in a relationship, just together in the space," Nunn said. "Like, I never thought those two characters would have a conversation, and there will be loads of opportunity for that."
Girlfriend reported all of the show's main cast members would return in Sex Education Season 2. Of course, fans would once again see Butterfield, Mackey, and Allison when the series returns. Also, Gillian Anderson (Jean), Aimee Lou Wood (Aimee), Ncuti Gatwa (Eric), Kedar Williams-Stirling (Jackson), and Connor Swindells (Adam) would be seen again.
However, despite the renewal's announcement, Netflix has yet to announce when Sex Education Season 2 will hit the small screens. But, there are theories it will be out at the end of the year or early 2020, as the show's production starts in the UK in spring.
