Love Island Australia is returning for another run this 2019. Nine Network has confirmed the second season, albeit with some changes.

Casting applications for Love Island Australia season 2 have officially been opened as of April 15. A post on Instagram announced that the show is looking for sexy, young and single contestants between the ages of 18 to 35 to become part of the 2019 season.

The casting notice also reiterated that the show would be signing up interesting people who are searching for the love of their life. Thus, contestants who want to become a part of the series have to be invested in looking for a partner.

Just like last season, Love Island Australia season 2 will also take place in a beautiful villa. However, if last year's location was in Spain, the second season will move to another island. The production's official location has not yet been revealed pending the completion of the cast.

Love Island Australia features a group of men and women, called the "Islanders" in the series, who have agreed to live their life in a secluded place under a fishbowl for a shot at $50,000. While on the island, they must make it their goal to pair up with their romantic interest.

The idea of the game is for the single contestants to become a couple. If their coupling doesn't work out, however, they must arrange to swap or change their partners with the other competitors.

An Islander who remains single on Love Island Australia by the end of an episode will be shipped off and eliminated, thus losing their shot at the prize money. They may also be voted off by the public but Love Island Australia also has twists and other surprises that could change the game.

According to Now to Love, last season's winning pair on Love Island Australia has ended their relationship. Grant Crapp admitted he had a girlfriend while competing in the series, thus his partner, Tayla Damir, decided to break it off with him.

Their relationship lasted just two weeks after the season ended. Damir admitted that she was heartbroken and shocked by Crapp's revelation, especially after they made plans for her to move to Sydney to be with her beau. However, Damir still found love in her fellow Love Island Australia contestant Dom Thomas, whose relationship with Shelby Bilby also ended after they got off the island.
