'Call the Midwife' Season 8 Episode 4 May Feature Trixie's Story And Dr. Turner's Mission
Call the Midwife Season 8 Episode 4 is only about to air in the US after the current season already ended in the UK. Although there are not many spoilers of what is about to occur, here are some things that fans can expect to happen.
According to CarterMatt, Call the Midwife Season 8 Episode 4 will be a rough story for Trixie (Helen George). A serious medical problem will come her way and, unfortunately, it will be brought by someone close to her. Although no one will be in danger, something is about to happen in the "very important" part of Trixie's life.
Dr. Turner (Stephen McGann) will be out in the field to do his "medical magic" in Call the Midwife Season 8 Episode 4. However, it will not be a fun medical mission as he will feel desperate to save the people who badly needed him.
There will also be an important case at play in Call the Midwife Season 8 Episode 4. This part of the storyline will feature more than one character as a mother and daughter are about to get pregnant at the same time. Although it may sound complicated, the event may bring them closer together. But, it can also drive them apart, depending on how they will deal with the situation.
Meanwhile, ahead of Call the Midwife Season 8 Episode 4 release, the show once again becomes controversial for tackling the issue of abortion. On its season premiere in the US on March 31, Nurse Valerie Dyer (Jennifer Kirby) helped a woman named Cath (Emily Barber), who suffered a miscarriage after a backstreet abortion.
According to Kirby, the show will still delve in the issue of abortion in future episodes. There would be more cases "down the line" after the police refused to catch the individual who performed the abortion. Would it continue in Call the Midwife Season 8 Episode 4?
"It's a definite theme throughout the series if you can say abortion is a theme," Kirby told Radio Times. "Valerie takes it to heart, because she's so connected to that community. ... so the idea that there's something within the community, that women are having to go to this level - I think she feels it very personally."
As abortion was illegal in the UK until 1967, and the show was set in the 1960s, Valerie and Sister Frances (Ella Bruccoleri) did everything in their power not to make noise treating Cath as Sergeant Woolf (Trevor Cooper) was downstairs. Fans could expect to see more emotions episodes like it in the show. Call the Midwife Season 8 Episode 4 airs every Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on PBS.
