‘Selling Sunset’ Season 2 Renewal Status: Chrishell Stause Shares Thoughts On Show’s Future
Selling Sunset is the newest favorite show in town. After it premiered on Netflix last March 15, fans have been clamoring for more. Luckily, cast member Chrishell Stause shared her thoughts on a possible Season 2.
Chrishell Stause, who is known for her roles as Amanda Dillon on All My Children and Jordan Ridgeway on Days of Our Lives, is one of the cast members / real estate agents in Selling Sunset. She is the wife of This Is Us sta, Justin Hartley.
When Justin Hartley appeared as a guest on The View on April 10, co-host Meghan McCain admitted she is an avid fan of Selling Sunset. She also took a moment to ask Chrishell Stause, who was sitting in the audience, about the show's future.
"Are you still at the Oppenheim Group, and is there going to be a [Selling Sunset] season 2?" Meghan McCain asked. To which Chrishell Stause responded (via Refinery29), "I am still there. Everyone watch, because we're still waiting to hear from Netflix if we get the go on Season 2. But it looks like - it looks like it's going really well."
Fellow real estate agent Mary Fitzgerald echoed the same sentiments. Earlier this month, she answered a fan's inquiry on her Instagram account about whether or not the next installment is in the works. She said it is looking promising for Selling Sunset Season 2, but stressed that it is yet to be officially renewed by Netflix. Hence, she advised everyone to keep on watching the first installment, which consists of eight episodes.
Selling Sunset follows the elite real estate agents of The Oppenheim Group as they sell huge and lavish houses ranging from $1million to $40million in Los Angeles. The cast members / real estate agents are Chrishell Stause, Mary Fitzgerald, Romain Bonnet, Davina Potratz, Christine Quinn, Maya Vander, and Heather Young, while twin brothers Brett and Jason Oppenheim own the company.
At the end of Selling Sunset Season 1, Mary Fitzgerald got engaged to her 25-year-old French boyfriend, Romain Bonnet, while Maya Vander found out she was pregnant with his first baby, and Heather Young was about to close a worth $40 million property.
"The $40million house is still under construction," co-owner Jason Oppenheim told the Express. "The telephone poles have come down, and final finishes will be completed over the next couple of months. [Then] we will go full steam ahead marketing and selling the property," he added.
