New OnePlus 7, 7 Pro Leaks Revealed
April is on its twilight days and soon, the tech world will see the arrival of the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. Both handsets have been on the spotlight recently, and the number of renders, leaks and what if's prove that it's worth the hype. D-Day is indeed coming for OnePlus, but new leaks keep on coming.
Phone Arena has it that a couple of Twitter posts point to some aspects of the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro that were previously left out. On one hand, Max J. said that the OnePlus 7 Pro will feature a three camera setup. Leading the pack is a 48 megapixel sensor as the device's "main lens." There's also an 8 megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and F/2.4 aperture and an ultra-wide 16 megapixel with F/2.2 opening.
The website also confirms that the OnePlus 7 Pro will ship with a pop-up front facing camera. By this, the OnePlus 7 Pro will tout a notch-less real estate. Further information from Phone Arena is suggesting that the upcoming Smartphone will "follow" some of the design found in the Samsung Galaxy S10 by "adopting" a curved OLED display measuring 6.64inches diagonally.
On the other, resident tipster Steve H. Mc.Fly, aka @OnLeaks claims that the May 14 launch date will unveil a OnePlus 7 with a 6.4inch "flat display" screen. The device will likewise optimize a waterdrop notch that will house its selfie camera. However, details about the OnePlus 7's front facing snapper are still unknown. As per previous reports, the OnePlus 7 will closely resemble the OnePlus 6T.
@OnLeaks added that the OnePlus 7 will also sport a 48 megapixel camera at the back. This will be accompanied by a still unidentified second sensor, although it will most likely be a "dedicated depth sensor." An additional hint gives the OnePlus 7 Pro with 2K resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.
As for their innards, both the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro will flaunt Qualcomm's high-end Snapdragon 855 chip. This is the same chip that's found on the Samsung Galaxy S10 series, Xiaomi Mi 9 and LG's ThinQ. The use of a more powerful chip will also set the new OnePlus devices Pro apart from its predecessors, the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T.
In addition, the upcoming devices will use "a minimum" 6GB RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Word on the street meanwhile points to an 8GB RAM/256GB version. OnePlus may also "go all-out" with the OnePlus 7 Pro and release a version with monster-like specs that includes 12GB RAM and 512GB on onboard memory.
The OnePlus 7 will cost roughly between $549 and $599, while the OnePlus 7 Pro should shed around $699 and $749. Its 5G variant will, of course, cost more at around $849 and $899. Both devices will run on Android 9 Pie alongside the updated version of OxygenOS.
