Park Yoochun is facing up to 7 years and 6 months in prison.

According to a lawyer who spoke to MBC's "Section TV Entertainment News", the singer/actor is facing a significant amount of time in prison.

On April 23, the singer/actor tested positive for the drug Philopon (a meth equivalent) after a drug analysis conducted by NISI (National Institute of Scientific Investigation). In particular, the police investigation that was conducted revealed that Yoochun purchased the drug 3 times between February and March this year at .5 grams each time for a total of 1.5 grams.

But Yoochun's lawyer Kwon Chang-bum said on the 25th, "The NISI drug results are undeniable but we're not changing our [Yoochun's] position because he didn't take any drugs. We're looking into how the methamphetamine entered his body because it wasn't detected in the urine test. Yes, they found drugs in his house but he didn't take them."

Lawyer Kim Hee-joon revealed on "Section TV", "If you take drugs several times, you will sentenced up to 7.5 years in prison. He's expecting at least some prison time within that range."

In particular, Yoochun held a press conference previously and tearfully and adamantly denied that he had taken drugs and that he was being falsely accused by the public.

Netizens expressed disbelief in his denials saying, "So the Philopon walked itself into Yoochun's body while he was sleeping??" "Daebak. what was a great performance? You had us fooled." "Are you ok? Is something wrong with you? "Are you trying to cover the sky with your palms?" Does that even make sense??"

In the meantime, Yoochun is scheduled to undergo investigation on the 26th for the Philopon (meth) that was detected in his system to determine whether a pretrial detention arrest warrant is valid.
