Summer is here, and what's the best way to enjoy the season but to go to the beach. There are a lot of beaches you can enjoy around the world, but it is nothing with what Phuket, Thailand, has to offer. With the finest white sand and green waters, the island is known for having the country's best beaches, and here are the top five that you need to see.

Bangtao Beach

Bangtao Beach boasts five miles of white sand and is one of the most popular beaches in Phuket. You will feel relaxed as the place never gets busy no matter how crowded it is with its wide and long shore.

Tourists can rent paddleboards and kayaks to complete their water experience. There are even some that just want to lay around on its fine white sand and have an ice-cold drink.

Surin Beach

Despite its slimness, Surin Beach captivates the hearts of many tourists with its attractive beauty. Water is calm and glassy in the high-season, and snorkeling can be a lot of fun in the "rocky northern and southern tips," per Telegraph Travel.

You can enjoy watching and playing on the beach. You can also hang around and watch its beautiful sunset.

Mai Khao

You may experience a hard time to get to Mai Khao, but every hardship is worth it when you see its beauty. It brags almost seven miles of golden beach filled with yellow sands.

Tourists can enjoy hours and hours of walking along the shore while listening to the chirping birds. They can also see large seashells washed up on the coast. Visitors can safely swim here in high seasons, but make sure they will be accompanied by someone as there are sheer drop-offs into the Andaman.

Banana Beach

Aside from being one of the famous beaches in Phuket, it is also a part of CEO World Magazine's best beaches in the world this year - Banana Beach. Tourists will surely enjoy its small cove with white sands, 50-foot palm trees, and of course, its crystal clear waters.

You will have fun playing on its luminous green waters, freshly-caught seafood for lunch, and sleep under the colorful umbrellas. There are a lot of fun activities you can do with your friends and family here, as this is the place that you shouldn't miss.

Coral and Racha Islands

You can find Coral Island, Rachai Noi, and Racha Yai on the southern coast of Phuket. There are many small islands there filled with white baby-soft sands, coral reefs, and dive sites.

Compared to Rachai Noi and Racha Yai, Coral Island is the most commercialized island from the three. At peak season, this island becomes busy, as its gentle waters get filled with colorful reef fish, making it an ideal swim place for kids. Racha, on the other hand, is for divers, sailors, and speedboats.
