Is Amazon Prime gearing up for Sneaky Pete season 4? The third season of the American crime drama series led by Giovanni Ribisi (as Marius Josipovic) has recently been released on the subscription site.
According to Express, it might be too early to say if Sneaky Pete season 4 is going to happen given that season 3 just became available on Amazon Prime since Friday, May 10. The show's chances for renewal is still hard to determine since most of the platform's subscribers may not yet even begin binging the series until the next few weeks.
Shows on streaming platforms, such as Sneaky Pete, also do not follow a fixed released calendar, unlike network TV shows. Hence, it is anybody's guess what Amazon Prime could decide about this drama series.
For instance, Sneaky Pete season 2 was renewed just days after the show launched its first season on Amazon Prime in 2015. Sneaky Pete season 3, on the other hand, was confirmed to return four months after episodes of season 2 dropped in 2017.
According to Amazon Adviser, if Sneaky Pete season 4 is renewed, subscribers can potentially expect a July 2020 release. At the moment, there is still no word on the resumption of production on its California set.
Sneaky Pete is one of Amazon Prime's critically-acclaimed shows hence there are high hopes it will return for season 4. The series, created by Hollywood actor Bryan Cranston and executive producer David Shore, is about a con man who gets out of prison assuming the identity of one of his cellmates.
Pulling the biggest con of his life, his new family doesn't have any clue that he's not the man they thought he was. The con artist, however, soon learns that he now belongs to a family with various issues than he can handle.
Sneaky Pete season 3 turns the show around, however, with the addition of Patrick J. Adams in a recurring role. The actor, best known for his role in Suits, has signed up as Stefano Kilbane, described as "an arrogant business magnate who is obsessed with fine art and has a deep need for revenge," as per Deadline.
The drama series also stars Marin Ireland, Margo Martindale, Shane McRae, Jane Adams, Libe Barer, and Michael Drayer. Cranston, on the other hand, has a recurring role in Sneaky Pete.
