Samsung Head-On Response To Huawei Revealed During Its Launch Of Periscope 5x Zoom Camera
ETNews, a leading news outfit in South Korea, recently reported that Samsung Electro-Mechanics developed a 5X optical zoom capable of producing fantastic and photographer-like shots. One of the fantastic features of the latest Huawei P30 Pro is its extremely advanced camera that utilizes a design like that of a periscope to produce a 5x optical zoom with breathtaking results. But, it appears that Samsung is directly responding to the Chinese tech giant by launching its own periscope-like camera.
The news outfit also revealed that the new Samsung periscope 5X zoom camera will eliminate the bulging part of the smartphone and will begin its production within the month. The report shared that Samsung's periscope design refracts the arriving light at the right angles. This triggers a potent optical zoom without sacrificing the thickness since the sensors, and the lenses are not vertically stacked.
Many tech analysts believe that Samsung's recent acquisition of the Corephotonics, the company responsible for the optical zoom lenses of Oppo smartphones, has something to do with the new module of the company. The module is just 5mm thick, which makes it the thinner version of the 2x zoom lenses available in the market today.
Currently, it is still unclear if we will soon see this in the market. The timing of the launch of Samsung's periscope 5x zoom camera caused analysts to speculate on the possibility of seeing this new module in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 10. But, it is highly likely that the South Korean tech giant has already locked in the specs and the design of its next device. It is possible, but it is very close since the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 has a release window of August 2019.
Additionally, in the majority of the reports and leaks, the technical specs of Samsung Galaxy Note 10 do not include a 5x zoom camera. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is anticipated to be released equipped with four cameras on the back part. This could include the time of fight sensor similar to that found in Samsung S10 5G. Some tech analysts believe that the South Korean tech titan is planning to include its periscope 5x zoom camera on its mid-range A series smartphones or on its future Galaxy S devices.
Samsung could easily position it's A series to target photography enthusiasts and photographers. Or, it could also introduce a new phone series that contains this highly advanced camera feature. For now, all we have to do is just and see things unfold.
