Redmi K20 Drops More Hints Of Rumored Flagship Gaming Beast – The Pocophone F2
A few days before the Redmi K20 is unpacked by Xiaomi on May 28, the Chinese device maker again let out a new batch of specs and features that will headline the upcoming flagship Android phone. And unsurprising anew, fans can't help but to hope that the rumors will prove correct - that a version of the K20 will re-appear as the Pocophone F2.
One such feature confirmed for the Redmi K20, according to GSM Arena, is Game Turbo 2.0 that as the name suggests is the device delivering optimal mobile gaming experience. And the accompanying performance boost will be supported by real-time messaging, meaning gamers can continue playing and communicating at the same time.
Then there is the inclusion of DC Dimming on the K20, which will help to reduce screen flickering that is common with mobile devices with AMOLED panel. It has been established that the upcoming Redmi handset will use AMOLED display that will be supplied by Samsung and with the package comes the in-display fingerprint readers that will make use of 7th-gen scanning technology.
Also, the Redmi K20 is a bezel-less smartphone so the selfie shooter is of pop-up mechanism. From the information gathered by XDA Developers, it was suggested that the front cam will slide in and out up to 300,000 times and there will be no mechanical failure to worry about.
As for the main camera setup, it will be of the triple setting and bannered by a 48MP sensor, specifically the Sony IMX586. This was seen before with the Xiaomi Mi 9 and so it makes sense to assume that the Redmi K20 is partly inspired by the Mi 9, inside and out. With such a powerful sensor, the K20 chief shooter can record videos in 960fps mode.
In this aspect, it is highly likely that the K20 will take after the Mi 9 especially on the design department. That is like saying that the latter will boast of a glass back panel, which is among the most gorgeous quality of the Xiaomi Mi 9, per the report by Android Authority.
And being a hero phone that it is advertised, albeit a more affordable one compared to the competition, the Redmi K20 humming mightily on the Snapdragon 855 SoC is practically written in stone. Lending adequate support to this powerhouse chip is a choice of 6GB or 8GB of RAM.
But what really excites the mobile gaming fans is the dreamed scenario of the Redmi K20 having a more powerful sibling in the Redmi K20 Pro. Rumors said that outside of China, Xiaomi will sell the gaming-centric device as follow up to the popular Pocophone F1 and to be labeled the Pocophone F2.
