Earlier this year, Microsoft gave us a glimpse of its Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription with access to Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold games. It was only in beta before, but now the company is launching the service to everyone today with a big pile of PC games to boot. This news also means that for a month, you only get to pay $15 in subscription fees for Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold for both PC and Xbox.

That sure is a sweet deal if you play games on both Xbox and PC, as Xbox Game Pass has a number of different titles for both consoles and PC. Separately, Game Pass for Xbox is at $10 per month, Game Pass for PC, is also at $10, and Xbox Live Gold costs the same as well. You'll have to pay $30 originally, so the Ultimate deal means that you get to save $15 per month if you're subscribing for all three.

You can transition your existing subscriptions into this, allowing you to stack existing months toward your new Ultimate subscription. The first month is available for $1.

When Microsoft first announced Game Pass for PC, it said that subscribers will have access to a curated library of more than 100 PC games on Windows 10 from big-time publishers like Sega, Paradox Interactive, Devolver Digital, Deep Silver, and Bethesda.

The company also committed to including new releases from Xbox Game Studios on the PC version of Game Pass on the day of release, just like the Xbox One service. The library will add new games every month. Game Pass members can also permanently purchase the games at up to a 20% discount in the Microsoft Store, and 10% off DLC.

Here are the confirmed titles for Xbox Game Pass PC:

  • We Happy Few

  • State of Decay 2

  • Sea of Thieves: Anniversary Edition

  • Ori and the Will of the Wisps -- coming soon

  • Hello Neighbor

  • Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice

  • Halo Master Chief Collection -- coming soon

  • Gears 5 -- coming soon

  • Forza Horizon 4

  • Ark: Survival Evolved

The Xbox conference is now over, and needless to say, it gave us a lot of news about new Game Pass arrivals. The conclusion of the conference also confirmed that the subscription is actually $!0 per month, as opposed to the $5 that was reported earlier. Beyond all this, Microsoft confirmed its next-gen Xbox console, Project Scarlett.
