Ahead of its much-awaited Next Horizon E3 gaming event today, a new leak about AMD Ryzen 9 3950X surfaced online earlier today. The leak reveals that the next-generation product from AMD could be the world's first-ever gaming CPU. Thanks to Videocardz, we now know what the specs of the reportedly AMD Ryzen 9 3950X would look like.

Next Horizon E3 Event

AMD will announce today its next generation 7 nm based AMD Navi RX 5700 gaming graphics series. But, if the recent leak is to be believed, it is not the only product that AMD will launch at the Next Horizon E3 Gaming event today. According to the latest leak, the company will also announce the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X series.

Leaked Specs

The latest leak claims that the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X CPU will be a monster in terms of power and performance based on its leaked specifications. Believed to be the world's first-ever 16 core 32 thread gaming processor, this monster CPU will have a turbo clock speed of 4.7 GHZ. Additionally, the leak reveals that this CPU will utilize two full 8 cores Zen 2 dies, which will customarily requires to be hand-picked to get the unbelievably high turbo clock speed.

Aside from these, the leak also claims that the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X CPU will maintain the 105W TDP attained through its moderate base clock speed of 3.5 GHz. Based on the latest leak, we can say that the upcoming AMD Ryzen 9 3950X is extraordinary in numerous fronts. The closest rival that it could go toe to toe in the market is that of Intel. The i9-9960X has 165W TDP but performs at a much lower clock speed.

If the most recent leak is accurate, the 4.7 GHz is by far, the highest ever AMD clock speed we have seen on any AMD Ryzen CPU. Well, this could be due to AMD Ryzen 9 3950X's 7nm technology and the Zen 2 microarchitecture that it is built on. It would be a gift to any overclocker just being close to the 4.4 GHz barrier with exotic liquid cooling.

While the latest leak reveals many details, it failed to uncover the pricing of the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X. With this specs, it could be around $999 AM4 desktop CPU. But, it will not be a surprise given what this much power and speed could accomplish. Since this is just a leak, we advise that you take this with a grain of salt. We will keep you posted on the latest happening at the E3 and AMD's Next Horizon E gaming event.
