American fans will soon see Love Island Season 5 on the small screens this month. Hulu announced the new season's release on its platform, while other news concerning Sherif Lanre is also addressed.
Love Island Season 5 already aired in the United Kingdom. There is no way the show can air in the United States but on Hulu. So, American fans are now waiting when they will see the show's new contenders in the series and catch up.
When a fan asked Hulu on Twitter, the streaming service revealed it would release Love Island Season 5's first five episodes on June 22. After the first release, it would be followed with another five episodes every Saturday until the show ends. So, American viewers could catch up.
Hey there! Five episodes of Love Island season 5 will be available on 6/22. Thereafter, five new episodes will be available each Saturday until the season completes airing. We hope this helps! — Hulu Support (@hulu_support) June 12, 2019
Love Island Season 5 started with 16 contestants. However, Lanre was kicked out from the villa for allegedly breaking some rules, per TV Guide.
After Niall Aslam mysteriously left the show last year, there are a lot of questions as to why Lanre was removed. Although the show's spokesperson revealed the contender was kicked out after breaking some rules, he didn't disclose what rules he violated.
"After breaking the villa rules Sherif had conversations with the producers," the spokesperson told RadioTimes. "It was mutually agreed that he would leave the Love Island villa."
Lanre, on the other hand, added he broke villa rules, so the producers agreed that it would be the best for him to leave. "I regret that I didn't conduct myself in the right way and, as a 20-year-old guy, it's something I know I will take on board and learn from," he explained.
However, Lanre assured fans he enjoyed his time on Love Island Season 5. Now that he is away from his fellow former contenders, he is looking forward to meeting them all again outside the villa.
Despite the statements and Lanre's goodbye, fans still felt unsatisfied with the explanation. In Lanre's final scene in Love Island Season 5, he was only seen in the corner of the shots. The voiceover Ian Stirling even briefly mentioned his departure.
Stirling only said earlier that day, after his talk with the producers, Lanre left the villa. The show didn't even explain what would happen to his partner, Anna Vakili, or the next recoupling. The Islanders also didn't talk about his departure.
Love Island Season 5 will be out on Hulu on June 22. The show's previous four seasons are also available on the platform.
