An intervention is about to happen in American Princess episode 5 on Lifetime. Amanda Klein (played by Georgia Flood) unexpectedly returns to New York where she's confronted by her family.

Per the episode synopsis for American Princess episode 5, Amanda's family tries to lure her into returning to New York. Viewers will recall that Amanda became a runaway bride after she discovered that her man was cheating on her.

Amanda eventually found a different kind of community just a few miles off the cosmopolitan city she has lived all her life. And while she learned the ropes and enjoyed the Renaissance Faire, it's unclear what convinced her to come back to New York.

The clips from the trailer of American Princess show Amanda having dinner with her mom and aunts at their posh residence. One of her cousins blurts out to Amanda that they believe she's in a cult.

From the looks of it, however, Amanda's family did not succeed with the intervention. In the succeeding clips, Amanda is back at the Renaissance Faire. What made her decide to give up her posh life this time around?

The rest of American Princess episode 5 will feature a party for Breeze, the young daughter of Lulu (played by Dannah Feinglass Phirman). Delilah (played by Mary Hollis Inboden) will set up this party while Amanda is away. In the clip, however, Delilah expresses her delight when Amanda returns home to the Renaissance Faire.

Maggie (played by Seana Kofoed), on the other hand, can't seem to figure out Brian (played by Rory O'Malley) and his new girl. David (played by Lucas Neff) spends an outing with the boys.

American Princess is a comedy series from Jamie Denbo and executive produced by Orange is the New Black creator Jenji Kohan. The show is about a socialite from the Upper East Side whose dream storybook wedding goes through the wringer.

Shattered, Amanda leaves the life she knows to stay in a village where there's no phone and no modern facilities. Everyone thinks that Amanda is having a breakdown, but she's prompted to evaluate her life after experiencing the simple world of the Renaissance Faire.

American Princess airs on the cable channel Lifetime. However, Hulu subscribers can also watch the show from their on-demand library.

So far, American Princess has aired four episodes since its debut last June 2 and the show's first season will run for 10 episodes. A renewal for season 2 has not yet been confirmed.
