After 10 years, Heidi and Spencer Pratt return to the small screens on The Hills: New Beginnings. The spinoff series will bring the original cast, like Brody Jenner, Audrina Partridge, and Justin "Bobby" Brescia, of The Hills as they recall the memories of the past and face their future together.
"It's a new beginning as the iconic group of friends return to the Hills and reconnect for the first time in years," The Hills: New Beginnings Episode 1 official synopsis read. "Facing new challenges, old rivalries and romances collide as they find that sometimes the past is not the past."
IT'S FINALLY HERE! But because we can't wait any longer... here are the first three minutes of TONIGHT'S episode! (And yes, we've already rewatched SEVERAL times.) #TheHills: New Beginnings premieres at 10/9c on @MTV! pic.twitter.com/ZlnontTZOK — The Hills (@thehills) June 24, 2019
MTV dropped the first official look to the spinoff series ahead of its release. Here, Patridge can be heard saying that she loves the city of Los Angeles, but it doesn't love her back at times, while shots of the town are playing onscreen.
After The Hills ended, Patridge married the BMX rider, Corey Bohan. They were blessed with a child, Kirra Max. She ended their marriage when she finalized their divorce at the end of last year.
In The Hills: New Beginnings, she will be addressing the difficulties she has gone through. The 34-year-old star admitted it is hard enough going through a divorce, but it is harder to be judged and reveal intimate details about her story that she doesn't want everyone to know. In one of the clips, she can be seen crying to Stephanie Pratt, Spencer's sister and also a former The Hills cast member.
The Pratts could also be seen overlooking Los Angeles while hanging out on the balcony. Heidi told her husband that nobody thought their relationship would last, but they managed to prove them wrong. Spencer, on the other hand, said he would love to be famous again.
In an interview with People, Heidi and Spencer revealed their marriage is now better than ever. The two have been married since 2009.
Heidi said they now have a much deeper understanding and love for each other. However, The Hills: New Beginnings is about to bring them new challenges, including the difficulties of being a new mother to their 1-year-old kid, Gunner Stone.
Can she balance motherhood, work, and fame? Heidi admitted she was a little nervous about leaving their son. It was even challenging to return into the world of reality series now that she is a mom. "There's more at stake," she revealed.
Alternatively, Spencer knew Heidi wanted him home to look after Gunner when she is away. However, as The Hills: New Beginnings is now in the works and its cameras are continuously rolling, he can't just leave it there. It may be one of the issues fans have to see in the spinoff series.
Aside from The Hills original cast, there are also new faces in The Hills: New Beginnings. Mischa Barton and Brandon Thomas Lee join the series to show life and fame in Los Angeles.
