With the recent launch of Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro, users who have tried the phone claim that it could be the next Pocophone F1.

Redmi K20 Pro As the Next Pocophone F1

Xiaomi's Pocophone F1 entered in the same manner that OnePlus devices penetrated the market. The Chinese sub-brand delivered flagship specs at unbelievably cutthroat prices. One can say that the Pocophone F1 redefined the flagship and mid-range market. Because of this, consumers and tech enthusiasts are highly expectant that Xiaomi is going to release the second iteration of the F1.

Amidst high hopes for the arrival of Pocophone F2, Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi released the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro. Many noticed that in terms of specifications, the Redmi K20 Pro and the K20 sport flagship killer specs. This fueled speculations that Xiaomi is positioning the Redmi K20 Pro to be the next Pocophone F1, or to at least be at par with what the flagship killer device was able to achieve.

Pocophone F2 Not Happening Anymore

The Redmi K20 Pro was released with definitely flagship killer specs at unbelievably affordable price. It houses the next generation Snapdragon 855 for its processing and sports a 6.39-inches AMOLED display. It has Adreno 640 GPU and 6 or 8 GB of RAM that makes multitasking so easy. The manner Redmi introduced the Redmi K20, and Redmi K20 Pro is so similar to the way they released the Pocophone F1 in the market last year. The pricing strategy and the flagship killer specs make the latest Redmi devices the new favorite smartphones in the mid-range market. Could this mean that Pocophone F2 is not anymore happening?

A few weeks ago, GSMArena cited the tweet of a serial tipster claiming that the Redmi K20 is highly likely to be the Pocophone F2 while the Redmi K20 Pro is to be the Pocophone F2 Pro. The report later concluded that the Redmi K20 Pro and the K20 would be released as Pocophone or Poco in other countries. Neither Xiaomi nor Redmi confirmed about this claim in regards to branding. And, just like all unofficial claims, always take it with a pinch of salt.
