Consequences are going to happen fast in Good Trouble season 2 episode 2 for Callie (played by Maia Mitchell). After Malika (played by Zuri Adele) takes away her key card as a desperate measure, Callie will experience the repercussions immediately.
Executive producer Brad Bredeweg confirmed via Hollywood Life that what happened to Callie and Malika in the first episode will have an impact on Good Trouble season 2 episode 2, which airs on Tuesday, June 25, on Freeform. But perhaps this will be a good change for Callie as she might see a new path for her as someone who has been working her way to becoming a lawyer.
What could this new path be though? The show's co-creator Peter Paige offered a few hints in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
"Callie is an actor and a reactor, she is not an adjudicator. She is not someone there to interpret and sit on the sidelines, and pass judgment," Paige said. "Specifically, it's what she's doing with that law degree that she's going to have to recalibrate."
And while Callie is at a crossroads in her career, her love life remains just as confusing. In Good Trouble season 2 episode 1, viewers expected for Callie to decide between Jamie (played by Beau Mirchoff) and Gael (played by Tommy Martinez). Paige hinted that it's a struggle to pick because Callie relates to both men in every way.
However, Bredeweg hinted that none of the men will disappear from Good Trouble season 2 just yet. Jamie has a significant presence this season as Callie shifts into her new path. Could this mean Callie's feelings lean towards Jamie more even if she has kissed Gael?
Good Trouble season 2 episode 2 will also focus on Mariana (played by Cierra Ramirez) and her new relationship. The teaser shows that Mariana will try something kinky, new and exciting with her guy, Raj (played by Dhruv Uday Singh), while they're both at work, but someone else could be watching the two lovebirds.
The spinoff to the ground-breaking series, The Fosters, Good Trouble follows the lives of young adults living in this hip Los Angeles residence. The Coterie crew will try to challenge through the struggles of adulthood as they deal with relationships, careers, and peer pressures in their quest for happiness and fulfillment.
