Police have forwarded Seungri's and Police Chief Yoon's cases to prosecution.

On June 25, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency intelligence crime investigation team forwarded the former Big Bang member's case to prosecution with a 7 count indictment for sex trafficking, prostitution, 2 counts of embezzlement for embezzling from his club Burning Sun and lawyer fees, sharing of illegal hidden camera footage, and violations of the Food Sanitation Law.

Police also forwarded Police Chief Yoon Kyung-Sang's case to prosecution on the same day for one count of bribery (under suspicions of abuse of authority).

Due to the expatriation to prosecution, Seungri is now eligible for active military service. He was originally scheduled to enlist on March 25 but he submitted a postponement to the Military Manpower Administration (MMA) for "unavoidable reasons" and was granted a 90-day extension. June 25 marked the expiration of the postponement and the MMA plans to submit a new enlistment date for Seungri.

He's allowed one more extension for the same reason under Article 129 of military code but otherwise, he'll have to submit to the mandatory service. Since Seungri was born in 1990 and is currently 29 years old, he can apply for a delay until next year when he turns 30.
