BLACKPINK bagged the Choice Song award for this year's Teen Choice Awards held over the weekend in Hermosa beach, California. Their megahit song DDU DU DDU DU emerged victorious over other contenders including 8 Letters by Why Don't We; Bad Liar by Imagine Dragons; Easier by 5 Seconds of Summer; Hey Look Ma, I Made It by  Panic! at the Disco and Sucker by Jonas Brothers.

BLACKPINK's hit DDU DU DDU DU song is currently on its way to becoming the first Kpop girl group MV to reach one billion views on youtube. The MV has already reached 915 million views which was spurred on by BLACKPINK's third debut anniversary this month.

According to a report by All Kpop, BLACKPINK's win was part of a fruitful night for Kpop acts who were also nominated for different categories. BTS took home four wins for Choice International Artist, Choice Collaboration for Boy With Luv featuring Halsey, Choice Summer Tour for their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself Tour and Choice Fandom, for BTS' formindable ARMY. Red Velvet also won the Choice Electronic/Dance Song award for their collaboration track with Ellie Goulding and Diplo.

BLINKs celebrated BLACKPINK's win for the international award as a positive sign of their chances for their other international nominations. Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rose have picked up a nod at MTV's prestigious Video Music Awards (VMAs) where they are the lone girl group nominated in the newly created Best Kpop category.

MTV further showed the love for BLACKPINK when the girls also picked up a nomination in MTV UK's Choice Summer Superstar online poll, which encourages fandoms to use twitter to vote for their favorite artists.

BLACKPINK is currently holding steady in the third spot with 3,484,016 tweets while former winner Lady Gaga's Little Monsters are continuing to keep her in the #2 spot with 10, 321,161 votes. BTS' ARMY is holding strong with 14,161,633 tweets.

Voting for MTV UK's Hottest Summer Superstar will continue through August 19 simply by tweeting #mtvhottest followed by the name of voters' choice artist. Winners will finally be announced on August 24.

While BLACKPINK is on a break for their successful Your Area World Tour, Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rose are working on their summer-themed series and preparing for their appearance in Japan's a-nation music festival on August 18. The girls will be joining top Japanese idols and artists in Osaka to entertain music lovers from all walks of life.

Meanwhile, a report from All Kpop reported that Ariana Grande's producer Tommy Brown was recently spotted in Korea and was reportedly working with BLACKPINK. Speculations are rife that Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rose are working on their comeback with the same producer who delivered Ariana's hits Thank You, Next and 7 Rings
