OnePlus, the popular Chinese smartphone manufacturer well-known for its combination of affordability and high-end specs is widely rumored to be in the final phase of preparation for the launch of its upcoming flagship product - the OnePlus 7T Pro.

OnePlus is just fresh from the release of its current flagship models, the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. However, just weeks after the release of these two models, speculations about an upcoming 7 Pro model started to hit the rumor mill. The latest to hit the mill claims that OnePlus is planning to officially launch the newest addition to its flagship model - the OnePlus 7T Pro - in October.

Despite the lack of an official statement from the company, this did not deter fans and the tech community from speculating as to when the Chinese company plans to release the smartphone. The most dominant rumor claims that OnePlus has already picked an official date - October 15.

Majority of the rumor around the OnePlus 7T Pro came from the prominent tech insider who uses the pseudonym @Samsung_News_ who is notable for leaks about Samsung smartphones. The user's latest tweet simply shows a render showing what appears to be a rear shot of the alleged 7T Pro and the date October 15.

As for the specs of the touted OnePlus 7T Pro, the smartphone is expected to pack some impressive hardware, a common feature of OnePlus smartphones. At the heart of the smartphone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, one of the most powerful piece of ARM processors to recently hit the market. There is one interesting feature about this Snapdragon chipset, and that it is overclocked. It also features at least 8GB of RAM. The smartphone is also expected to sport a display that supports 120hz refresh rate.

Regarding the phone's aesthetic, a handful of leaks have revealed that the upcoming model will look strikingly similar to the current OnePlus 7 Pro model. This comes as no surprise since it is considered as an upgraded version of the first model.

Based on the number of leaks about the OnePlus 7T Pro, it would appear that the company has kept this piece of flagship hardware in tight security. Unlike other flagship smartphones like the iPhone and the Samsung Galaxy which are always bombarded by hundreds of leaks before their official release, OnePlus has kept its own flagship well under the radar and outside the mainstream consciousness.
