Disney has a lot of theme park versions, but each place is unique and special. Although there are a lot of different theme parks in the world, the two original ones - Disneyland and Walt Disney's World's Magic Kingdom - are still the most popular of them all.
Disneyland opened in 1955, while Walt Disney World started in 1971. However, even though the two parks have the same design standpoint, there are reports rides are much better at Disneyland. So, here are the five rides that exist at both locations, but are more improved at Disneyland.
This single-seat ride's vehicle at Walt Disney World gives visitors a smoother ride. However, it means it is slightly slower compared to Disneyland.
So, the Disneyland version is said to be a little faster. And, its on-board soundtrack, which the great Michael Giacchino composed, makes it more immersive and exciting.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disneyland and Walt Disney World is identical. However, the former added some effects to the ride to make it more exciting, per CinemaBlend.
After the attraction's most recent refurbishment at Disneyland, there is a point where one of the tunnels gets blew up. Explosive noises will go off, and smoke will fill the tunnel. Unfortunately, Walt Disney World doesn't have this.
Pirates of the Caribbean
Pirates of the Caribbean was only added at Walt Disney World in the last minute. In fact, this ride was not even supposed to be there.
The ride even got crammed into the park. But, its Disneyland version has a lot more to offer, making it more superior than the theme park in Florida.
It's a Small World
Disney World added It's a Small World ride is much better at Disneyland than its counterpart. Its exterior has gorgeous lightning that adds up to the park's design at night.
It has a richer history compared to the one at Walt Disney World. With the recent improvements, the ride now has the classic Disney characters, like Stitch, Woody, Ariel, Pinocchio, and more. It is also longer compared to its counterpart with a fantastic finale.
Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters/Space Ranger Spin
Although the Buzz Lightyear ride in the two parks is simply the same, the one at Disneyland seems to have the upper hand. Here, park-goers can pick up their blaster and aim, instead of having a limit in shooting what is only in front of you, like at Walt Disney World.
If Walt Disney World can fix the ride's abysmal blaster, it can easily compete with Disneyland. Also, the latter has a fresher and cleaner space.
