'Haikyu!!' Season 4 Now Confirmed; New Season Release Date Pushed Back To Winter 2020
All speculations and theories about Haikyu!! Season 4's arrival may now be put to rest. As it happened, Weekly Shonen Jump has recently confirmed that the fourth season of the hit volleyball manga series will soon premiere on television.
During the Jump Fiesta 2019 that has been celebrated this August, the heads and bosses of the animated series talked about the show's future and what's more to come. And based on what just happened, it seemingly appears that the fans are now looking to receive a few changes on the upcoming season.
According to Monsters and Critics, the initial announcements about the Haikyu!! were first seen on various social media platforms back in the middle of summer. But fans were largely confused with the show's return. And this is because the teasers looked like that the anime will return as a new anime.
The title, Haikyuu!!: Karasuno Koukou vs. Shiratorizawa Gakuen Koukou, was largely depicted on the teasers. And it only means that - instead of having a fourth season, the show will premiere with an all-new storyline and plot of Haikyu!!.
With these teasers at hand, the fans became even more confused when new designs for the characters' appearance have surfaced the online world. This is why a lot of people have concluded that the show's continuation will no longer happen, but will produce a new one.
But, as mentioned, these speculations were finally put to rest as the production has confirmed that a fourth season will happen. As for the reason behind this whole change in appearance and dynamic, little has been shared about it. Nevertheless, Comic Book states that the fans are now just happy to know that Haikyu!! Season 4 is now sealed.
It will be a long waiting game, though, as the new season is scheduled to arrive next winter. This means that fans will have to wait more than a year to enjoy all-new episodes of the hit anime series fully.
Also, Haikyu!! will have new Original Video Animation (OVA) episodes which will be available for purchase in January 2020. These will serve as the "beta-testers" for the new season. And it is revealed that they will carry the titles, Land vs. Sky and The Volleyball Way.
So far, these are the only details that have been shared about the hit anime and manga series. And it is expected that much newer details will come to light in the coming months.
