Despite their slender frames, most K-pop idols have a huge appetite. But unlike the rest of us ordinary people, these stars compromise their eating habit by working out more — BTS is no exception.

When it comes to food, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have their favorite ones. Some are healthy; others are not so weight-friendly. But as for V, he revealed that his favorite food is asparagus.

Asparagus is healthy and delicious, and there’s a lot of ways to cook the vegetable. You can grill it, sauté it, make a soup out of it, roast it, and a lot more. But the 23-year-old singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor's favorite cooking style for asparagus is “gooey.”

If you haven’t heard of “Asparagus Gooey,” you are not alone. The reason why V’s favorite “Asparagus Gooey” is unfamiliar is that it doesn’t exist.

During their Radio Disney interview, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook revealed their favorite meals. Some of the BTS boys shared that they enjoy eating burgers, pasta, steak, and more. But when it was V’s turn to share his favorite food, he said, “Asparagus-gooey.” His revelation made his team members laugh because he said “gooey” like the English word that means “soft and sticky.”

What V meant was the Korean word “Gooey,” which means “roasted.” So V’s favorite food is “roasted asparagus.” Of course, RM had to correct V to make it clear for the fans. The BTS leader taught V how to say “roasted,” and the latter repeated it.

V then said his answer again. He took the mic from RM and said that his favorite food from around the world is “asparagus roasted.” The BTS leader then replied, “perfect.” Feeling much better and more confident with his answer, V had a cheeky smirk on his face after saying his favorite food in English.

While V’s reply is still technically wrong, as it should be “roasted asparagus” instead of “asparagus roasted,” it is safe to say that it is a lot more understandable compared to “asparagus gooey.” Of course, ARMYs couldn't handle how cute the moment was and took to social media to share their thoughts about it.

“If Taehyung (V’s real name) says that roasted asparagus is asparagus-gooey, then it’s asparagus-gooey, period,” one fan wrote. “He can say asparagus gooey to me anytime. He made that sound so f!!king SEXY as hell!!” another one commented.
