Rumors and speculations that the "PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale 2" is currently in active development for PlayStation 5 have been making rounds online. The rumor is already interesting on its own but what makes it more appealing is that if it is accurate, then the "PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale 2" is going to be the first PlayStation 5 exclusive title that will be available for Sony's next-generation console at launch.

Since it is a rumor, there is a chance that the "PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale 2" is not in active development at all. But, we know that several video game studios have already gotten the PlayStation 5 dev kits and have already tried Sony's upcoming gaming console. The PlayStation 5 is expected to arrive in the holiday season next year.

This makes sense that video games are already well into their development stages for the PlayStation 5. Earlier, several sites reported that aside from "PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale 2," other titles will also exclusively launch in Sony next-generation gaming console. This includes the "Ghost of Tsushima" and the highly anticipated sequel "The Last of Us 2."

Interestingly, there is also a new claim that Capcom is currently developing a video game for the PlayStation 5. At first, the rumor sounds strange, but it really makes a little sense. Capcom has a history of collaborating with other companies' IP. The team made the popular title "Capcom vs. Marvel" franchise and "the legend of Zelda" titles for Nintendo.

With this, Capcom appears like a solid choice if the Japanese gaming console giant is really pursuing the "PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale 2." The "PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale" was made by Sony Santa Monica Studio, which is currently knee-deep with "God Of War" and SpuerBot Entertainment, which has been silent since 2014. Because of this, Sony must find a new team to handle the development of the "PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale 2."

It is also worth noting that although "PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale 2" allegedly will be launched as a PlayStation 5 exclusive title, it will not remain exclusive forever. This is supported by another rumor that "PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale 2" will be ported to PC in 2021 as part of the company's move to expand the PlayStation brand beyond its gaming consoles. But, since this is a rumor, we advise that you take this with a barrel of salt and with skepticism.

Meanwhile, Sony's next generation console, PlayStation 5, is expected to be released in 2020. Rumors have it that the gaming console might be announced in February 2020 during the company's PlayStation Event.
