'This Is Us' Season 4 Cast Reveals In New Teaser Trailer Why The Show Is Loved By Many
This Is Us has released a new trailer, but it doesn't reveal any spoilers for the upcoming Season 4. Instead, some of the main cast members talked about why the show is loved by many for the past three years.
Sterling K. Brown, who plays the role of Randall Pearson, said This Is Us is not just a story of the Pearson family. Rather, it talks about the lives of many, and people can relate to the joy and challenges of the Pearson family.
Mandy Moore (Rebecca Pearson), on the other hand, said the universal appeal of the show is that many can relate to the characters that they are watching. Milo Ventimiglia (Jack Pearson) agreed with Moore and added that the stories that the audience watch on the small screen are a reflection of their own story.
"Those are their stories up on that screen. That is what makes embrace the show," Ventimiglia said.
In between the cast members' interview, some family photos of fans were shown and more at the end of the trailer. It is assumed that the snaps were shared to the show by fans themselves.
This Is Us Season 4 will take its regular Tuesday timeslot and is set to premiere on September 24 on NBC. Aside from Brown, Moore, and Ventimiglia, other returning cast members are Chrissy Metz (Kate Pearson), Justin Hartley (Kevin Pearson), Susan Kelechi Watson (Beth Pearson), and Chris Sullivan (Toby Damon).
The upcoming fourth season is expected to provide answers to the questions that have been lingering to the minds of viewers since Season 3 finale aired in April. One of these questions is about Rebecca's illness. It can be recalled that the previous season of This Is Us ended in a past forward scene of the Pearson family.
Older Randall, Beth, and Toby arrived at Kevin's house to visit Rebecca. Randall was seen talking to his mother, but it seems like Rebecca could not recognize him. Moreover, many were also wondering who Kevin ended up with. In the finale, Randall was seen asking a boy about his "father" Kevin.
Meanwhile, This Is Us is up for three major nominations for the 2019 Emmy Awards. The NBC tear-jerking drama nabbed a Best Drama Series and is going up against Game of Thrones, Killing Eve, Better Call Saul, Bodyguard, Ozark, Pose, and Succession.
Both Brown and Ventimiglia are once again nominated for Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Moore landed a Lead Actress nom while Sullivan has a chance to take home the Best Supporting Actor award. Series stars Ron Cephas Jones (William) and Michael Angarano (Nicky) are also nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor category while Phylicia Rashad (Carol) got a nod for Outstanding Guest Actress.
