It is public knowledge that Kate Middleton wasn’t born Royal. She was a mere commoner when she started dating Prince William. But when the Duchess of Cambridge became a part of the Royal family in 2001, she quickly became one of the most popular members of the clan.

It’s quite easy for the public to fall in love with Kate Middleton. She’s tall, beautiful, regal, elegant, and a lot more. But since she was just an ordinary citizen before marrying Prince William, many must be wondering how she made the Royal family love her too.

As it turns out, Kate Middleton has a secret skill that secured support form the whole Royal family even before her marriage. The Duchess of Cambridge can make Prince William feel “comfortable,” which is a very important thing.

Prince William is the future ruler of England, and what he needed most in his life is to have someone who he feels at ease with, considering all the stress and pressure that he is dealing with every day. Fortunately for him, Kate Middleton has that skill.

"I think part of the reason Prince William felt so comfortable with Kate was that she was comfortable with this role – with the media following her, with being in the public eye,” Royal commentator Juliet Ridden told Nine News Australia. “The whole Royal Family realized, ‘yes, this is a Royal in the making.”

One of Kate's traits that the public and the royal family love about her is her courage to be real to everyone. "Nobody could envy her having to face the cameras within hours of birth, but each time she has done it with such grace and poise, we can't help loving her for it. "Nobody could envy her having to face the cameras within hours of birth, but each time she has done it with such grace and poise we can't help loving her for it," Juliet Ridden said.

Prince William and Kate Middleton began their romance during their university days. Despite him being Royal, and her being a commoner, their feelings for each other were strong enough to brush off the different status of their lives.

Just like most relationships, theirs was not perfect as well. Prince William and Kate Middleton even broke up a few times, but eventually got back together. They then announced their engagement in 2010 and got married in 2011.

Aside from doing their obligations as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William, and Kate Middleton are parents to three beautiful children, six-year-old Prince George, four-year-old Princess Charlotte, and one-year-old Prince Louis.
