'Jersey Shore Family Vacation' Michael 'The Situation Sorrentino And Wife Now Planning For Baby No. 1 After Prison Release
Jersey Shore Family Vacation is finally complete with the release of Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino from a federal prison in New York on Thursday, Sept. 12. Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed the news, and the television personality himself updated his fans through his social media pages.
Michael first shared an image of himself, together with their family dog and wife, Lauren Sorrentino. "Living my best life with my beautiful wife," he captioned the snap.
He was wearing a shirt from his online store that read, "The comeback is always greater than the setback," pertaining to the situation he was once into. Lauren, on the other hand, also posted the same photo and wrote, "The house don't [sic] fall when the bones are good," welcoming his husband home.
Michael received a sentence of eight months in prison for a tax evasion case in 2018. He was also set to pay a fine worth $10,000 and to complete 500-hour community service, per CNN.
The 38-year-old star was first known when he appeared on Jersey Shore from 2009 to 2012, and its spinoff, Jersey Shore Family Vacation, which is currently airing. Other cast members had been visiting Michael when he was still in prison.
TMZ revealed the first photo of Michael and Lauren leaving the prison facility at about 10:30 a.m. Before that, the cameras for Jersey Shore Family Vacation started rolling to cover his release, the minute he got out from prison. There were even rumors he would spill everything about his prison life and his plans now that he is free to the show.
After that, they enjoyed a massive feast when they stopped at his favorite pizza joint, Denino's, in Matawan, New Jersey. Michael surely missed eating here after reaching a $133 total bill for ordering two vodka pies, cheese, and tomato pie, broccoli rabe and sausage pie, chicken fingers, fries, and fried shrimp.
Earlier that day, Michael had been updating his fans on Twitter about his release. He, too, had been retweeting the love he received from some of his friends and fans.
In a statement, Michael and Lauren said they are thrilled to close this dark chapter of their lives finally. They then thanked their family, friends, and fans for love and support they continuously receive that gave them peace and comfort during the hard times.
Now, the couple is looking forward to continuing their lives as husband and wife and work on baby situations. Jersey Shore Family Vacation will undoubtedly chronicle this point in their lives, so fans have to stay tune on MTV for the updates.
