The newest season of S.W.A.T. is now two episodes deep. With all the things that happened in these episodes, fans are eager to learn what will happen next.

In the Bad Faith episode, the crew started in a difficult position. Even so, they were still able to resolve the cult case that they had with Clare and Ruth. However, the team was surprised when Lynch decided to move inside the SWAT headquarters.

Upon transferring, she is now deemed as an "outside consultant," as per Celeb Dirty Laundry. While things may all seem decent and genuine, Hondo and Hicks claim that something is going on behind their backs.

It's true, though, that Lynch's arrival has a bigger story behind. It seemingly appears that she, along with the Mayor, plans to utilize the crew more on the streets. Also, it has been learned that they want to instill new changes within the department. This is why Hondo and Hicks are not feeling the whole situation well.

No word has been shared yet about this aspect of the plot. So, while the speculations that Lynch is planning something bigger is quite strong, it's yet to unfold. Nevertheless, fans will likely get to see the start of these plans in the coming episodes.

In a quick preview made by Cartermatt, it has been hinted that the upcoming episode of S.W.A.T. Season 3 will probably be the starting point of these plans. This is because the episode titled, Funny Money, will see Lynch using the crew in an off-books operation.

Now that she has the authority, she can ask the team to do what she assigns them on. The case is revealed to center on a local gang that is known for printing counterfeit money. Hence, the title, Funny Money.

Although solving the case is the right thing to do, it has been known that the team will "bump" with Lynch as she assigns this task to them. And it's likely because she is putting everyone in danger.

Whatever the case though, tension will certainly arise between the crew and Lynch in the upcoming episodes of S.W.A.T. Season 3. This is something fans will need to check out.

Alongside the growing tension between Lynch and the SWAT team, the next episode will also center on Hondo's problems. His father came back a few episodes ago after having the custody of his teen charge. It looks like more drama and tension will also rise inside Hondo's home.

S.W.A.T. Season 3 Episode 3 will air on October 16, on CBS.
